THE PROBLEM
For decades, the real estate industry has relied on the traditional appraisal process, backed by a dwindling pool of appraisers to painstakingly collect and analyze data to establish an accurate value for a home.
This method, centered on on-site inspections and manual data analysis, struggles to keep pace with the evolving needs of a dynamic market. The challenges were further amplified by a projected 25% decline in the appraiser workforce by 2030, creating a looming labor shortage.
We knew there was an entire untapped resource of expert trained professionals who can help unblock the current problems and make the process efficient through modern tools.

The pandemic hits, in an unexpected turn, a sister project, OwnerInsight, is born. Recognizing the need for remote solutions, Ownerinsight empowers homeowners to conduct their own inspections.

We designed a streamlined UI to help inspectors mirror the home's layout, with distinct levels and rooms. Information requests were progressive, guiding them step-by-step for accurate data capture.
